Las Vegas Psychiatrist That Takes Insurance

Find a Las Vegas psychiatrist who accepts your insurance. Calm Clinic takes Medicare, Medicaid, and most major plans. We verify benefits before you book.

Quick answer: Calm Clinic in Las Vegas accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Nevada Medicaid. Our team confirms your benefits before your first appointment so you understand your costs. If you don’t have insurance, we offer a simple self-pay option for psychiatric care.

How Does Insurance Work for Psychiatry?

Most health plans are required by federal law to cover mental health care just as they cover physical health care. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), this is thanks to the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act.

To use your insurance, you’ll want to find a psychiatrist who is ‘in-network’ with your plan. This simply means they have an agreement on pricing with your insurer. Before your first visit, our team will verify your benefits so you know exactly what to expect for costs.

What Insurance Do You Accept in Las Vegas?

We accept most major insurance plans in Nevada, including Medicare and Nevada Medicaid. We are in-network with many commercial plans, such as:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna
  • Health Plan of Nevada
  • Hometown Health
  • Humana
  • Molina Healthcare of Nevada
  • Prominence Health Plan
  • Sierra Health and Life
  • SilverSummit Healthplan / Ambetter
  • TRICARE
  • TriWest
  • UnitedHealthcare / Optum

We do not currently accept the Culinary Health Fund or most HMO plans. If your plan isn’t listed, please reach out. Our team is happy to check your coverage for you.

What Does My Insurance Cover?

Most insurance plans cover key outpatient services like initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for medication management. Our clinicians treat conditions including depression, anxiety, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

During your first appointment, your provider will discuss your diagnosis and work with you on a treatment plan. This may involve medication, therapy, or both. Keep in mind that coverage for specific medications can vary depending on your plan.

What If I Don’t Have Insurance?

If you don’t have insurance or prefer to pay directly, we have a simple self-pay option. The cost is a flat $150 per visit for both new and follow-up appointments. This flat rate means you always know the cost upfront, with no surprise bills.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. Calm Clinic is not an emergency service.

Your clinician will make treatment decisions with you after a full evaluation. Prescriptions are not guaranteed. Controlled substances are prescribed only when clinically appropriate and in compliance with all state and federal regulations, which may require an in-person visit.

Calm Clinic appointments are scheduled and billed through Anywhere Clinic, a telehealth practice owned by Dr. Sam Zand.
