SPRAVATO™ Cost in Las Vegas: Insurance & Pricing

Learn about the cost of SPRAVATO in Las Vegas. We break down our $150 self-pay clinic fee, medication copays, and how insurance coverage can help.

Quick answer: The total cost for SPRAVATO in Las Vegas is composed of the medication price plus the clinic’s service fee. At Calm Clinic, our self-pay rate is $150 per visit for the required two-hour medical monitoring. The medication’s final price depends on your specific insurance plan and any available savings programs.

How is the cost of SPRAVATO calculated?

Your total cost for SPRAVATO (esketamine) treatment in Las Vegas has two components: the medication and the clinical service. The price of the drug itself depends on your insurance plan’s pharmacy benefits. The clinical service fee covers the required in-office appointment for administration and monitoring.

For self-pay patients, our fee for each SPRAVATO treatment visit is $150. This does not include the medication cost, which is handled separately through your pharmacy.

How does insurance cover SPRAVATO?

Most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, may cover SPRAVATO for treatment-resistant depression when it’s medically necessary. We are in-network with most major carriers, which helps simplify the process.

Because SPRAVATO is a specialized treatment, your insurer will likely require prior authorization. This is a standard review they complete to approve coverage before you begin. Our team checks insurance benefits before your first visit. While coverage depends on your specific plan, we can help you understand the general process.

What happens during a SPRAVATO appointment?

During each SPRAVATO appointment at our Las Vegas office, you will self-administer the esketamine nasal spray under the supervision of a clinician. You will then rest in a comfortable, private room for about two hours for safety monitoring. You must arrange for someone to drive you home afterward, as you cannot operate a vehicle after treatment.

A full psychiatric evaluation is required to see if SPRAVATO is right for you before treatment begins. If you and your provider agree to move forward, the initial treatment schedule usually follows this timeline:

  • First month: Two sessions per week
  • Second month: One session per week
  • Third month and after: Maintenance sessions, often weekly or every two weeks.

Safety Information and Disclosures

According to the FDA, SPRAVATO has a Boxed Warning for risks of sedation, dissociation, respiratory depression, abuse and misuse, and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Due to these risks, it is only available through a restricted program called a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS). This program requires you to receive treatment in a certified clinic; you cannot take the medication home.
